Honor the fallen: It’s the right thing to do

As a committee member of the SCV Veterans Memorial Inc. and a supporter of veterans, I have endorsed the proposal for our city to install a Fallen Warriors Monument since the idea first evolved more than a year ago.

I'm grateful for our City Council's long-time support of our local veterans whose service and sacrifices are recognized in many ways, including Hometown Heroes banners, the veterans' Habitat for Humanity project, Veterans Historical Plaza, beautiful events like the annual Patriots' Luncheon and Memorial Day ceremony, and more.
